Um…hi.

Post by IrishArcher on 20th May 2014, 5:12 pm

Hi! I'm IrishArcher, not because I'm Irish or an archer (I wish!) but because I happen to be obsessed with all things Irish, as well as bows and arrows. I can't help it. It's sexy. Anyway, if you've clicked on my profile, you would know that I am a seventeen-year-old nerd who loves the arts. I like to think that I'm a good writer, but I suppose I can't really be the judge of that. When I finish high-school, my dream is to go into theater arts, and then, hopefully, film.

I have been self-diagnosed with an unfortunate little problem I like to call "Artists' Syndrome" . It's a really bad habit, in which I draw all over everything. I mean EVERYTHING. Worksheets, papers, homework assignments, my own skin, etc. If I ever get my hands on a writing implement, be it marker, pen, pencil, or makeup, I can usually find myself, even subconsciously, sketching on the first blank surface available.

I've never done role-play before, but I've always wanted to. I have made up numerous OC's, drawn them, named them, and given them backgrounds in a little sketchbook I like to keep with me. I can't wait to put them into action!

I really have no idea what else to say. I don't do graphic art (I've tried. It didn't go very well.), I'm more of a physical, pencil-and-paper sort of artist. I've always had an interest in calligraphy and lettering, and in my spare time practice with a quill and ink. I'm the youngest of three, all girls, and I have fluffy mutt named Rex…and that's about it.  Smile Until next time! ~I.A.

Hey Irish!

Welcome to the Muse as I said earlier on. I wish I was an archer too, don't worry. Lol. We're kindred spirits! I used to perform in theater for a good portion of my high school career and I wanted to go into acting, but I changed that to business when I actually got out into the world. I wish you the best of luck with your dreams. From Broadway to Hollywood I see.

I hope you can show us your drawings and sketches on the muse. I'm not much of a drawer, more into the writing world than anything, so I look forward to seeing what you can do!

If you're not Irish, where do you hail from then? Wink

Tyler

Thanks, Tyler!
I certainly hope that I can become successful, although my mother says it's unlikely…oh, well. More incentive to try harder, right? I'll think about displaying my work on the Muse, but I've never really shown anyone besides my closest friends…of course, that's one of the points of the site isn't it? Making friends Smile. And actually, I'm from the U.S. like you (Virginia, not Texas, though).

Mothers always like to challenge you I suppose. You'll find no negative judgment here for any artwork shown. This site was built for friends who give constructive critique, not flames. Wink

Awesome! Another USA folk. For some reason I feel like half the members here exist in other areas of the globe. I should do a poll on that one. Is there anything you might want to see on the Muse? Like a feature or so?

Well, I haven't even seen all of the things this website does have, so I don't think I'm really in a position to be making suggestions right now Wink

Hi Archer! It's nice to meet you. I'm new to this site too. So I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to do.

It's really all up to what you want to do on the site. Games? Bothering Buggy (I do it all the time)? Organize a RPG? Show off some written work? I'm hoping there are endless options but I can only make so many things sadly. lol
